The Greene Screen is giving away family passes to see the San Jose Spiders professional Ultimate Frisbee Team. Each day, we will have a Spider's related trivia question. Students and Staff can send their answer along with their name and 1st period room number to announcements@greenemiddleschool dot tv. Tickets will be given to anyone with the correct answer until we run out of tickets!
Today's San Jose Spiders trivia question for today is, In which years have the San Jose Spiders won the national championship? All correct answers will be eligible for a family pass!
Students! The opportunity to appear on the Greene Screen is still on! Students can submit trick shots to be aired in a special segment.
Tricks can be real or in video games! All students need to do is send their video clip to the link tiny-URL-dot-com-slash-greene-screen, which can also be found on the Greene Screen website, greene-middle-school-dot-TV. Make sure to watch the Greene Screen to look for trick shots soon!
FUSE, a technology based organization, meets in G-3 on Tuesdays from 3-4:15, and anyone is welcome to attend. Students in fuse can code a castle, Design their own video game, Make a ringtone for their phone, Design and make stickers for coffee cups and water bottles, Learn to fly a plane, Use solar energy to race cars, Design and or remodel a house online, Control their computer without touching the pad, Design and print jewelry with one of the 2 3D printers, and more. So if you are interested in technology, come pay FUSE a visit!
This week is PRIDE week, a time to celebrate identity and acceptance with the L-G-B-T-Q plus community. Students are encouraged to dress up in rainbow colors to show acceptance and support of the LGBTQ+ community this Thursday. Friday, April 12th, PRIDE week will culminate with the Day of Silence.
The day of silence, a student-led national event, encourages students to take vow of silence to symbolize the silencing of LGBTQ+ people in schools. Students who want to learn more can attend an informational meeting in room B6 on Thursday, April 11th either at lunch or after school.
