7th grade student Beck Lyons participated in the Greene science fair with his project about the Aerodynamics of Truck Platooning, and won 3 awards in the Synopsis science and engineering competition. He also received an Honorable Mention for Physical Sciences, 2nd Place Special Award from the American Vacuum Society, and
Best Electro Technology prize from the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
In addition, 8th grade student, and our Greene screen Technical Director, Daniel Siegel also participated in the Green Middle School Science Fair and went on to Synopsis. Daniel won the 8th grade Grand Prize for Physical sciences by designing a sensor-enhanced cane for people who are visually impaired, using 3D printed parts made during FUSE on Tuesdays. Congratulations to both of you!
We've been giving away passes to see the San Jose Spiders ultimate frisbee team. Last week, there were five winners who correctly answered last week's question, The winners were Megan Lemoine, Rohan Bhatia, Patrick Chi, Elizabeth Fetter, Carlota Blanco. Winners can pick up their tickets in the front office.
Today's question is, In which years have the San Jose Spiders won the AUDL championship. Students and staff should submit their answers to announcements at greene middle school dot tv with their answer and name.
